What's protected: a user-selectable source and target language control that re-languages any media already playing in the browser — captured audio, third-party captions, or article text — from a language you choose into a language you choose, in real time. One control works across all three; the choosable languages come from a live, self-expanding voice registry (including Hmong, which others don't voice); and it plays the original unchanged when source and target match. So an English speaker can hear a Japanese podcast in English, and a Hmong speaker can hear that same podcast in Hmong.
